About us

Under the direction of founder and artistic director Beryl Segers and musical director Rick Bowers, the Rainbow Kids Chorus is building a vibrant choral repertoire celebrating cultural diversity through music. The Choir has been established to fill the void in performing cultural music from the African continent.

The choir will perform commissioned works from leading African and international composers and will also perform a significant number of exciting Australian compositions each year. Through this exciting repertoire, the Choir will introduce audiences to a distinctive African choral sound increasing audience appreciation of children’s choirs as a compelling medium for making music. The Choir will perform at major and community events allowing exposure to the unique vibrancy of cultural music out of Africa.
